Why hasn't gamebanshee written anything on the procedure to become a Shadow Lord in CE? I played as a Rogue and the Nasoleum dropped the Shadow Lord Amulet after defeating him. Showing it to Staroxia started the quest.

But there's no mention of this quest in the quest section of the walkthrough. I tried the same procedure playing as an Adept, but the Nasoleum didn't drop the S L amulet. So I'm wondering if the Rogue is the only one that can become a Shadow Lord?

We put information on the shadow lord quest in Staroxia's entry in the Forbidden Lands, and on the shadow lord class page. I guess I could add a pointer in Nauselom's entry as well.

Btw, Nauselom dropped his amulet in both games I played (as a fighter/adept and then a mage/rogue). I suspect that his amulet should drop for everybody.

I need to think more about how to look through the walkthrough. I found the two sources about the shadow lord that you mentioned. Thanks for clearing that up. I missed the amulet as an adept. When I found the amulet as rogue, I was multitiered. Guess my adept isn't tiered enough.

Well, I guess the first time I defeated the Nasoleum, musta used too powerful a weapon at last and killed him before he could drop the amulet. This time I only used the scepter and he did drop the amulet. Followed through with the rest of the quest and became Adept/Rogue/Monk/...../Shadow Lord. Wonder what I should put in the fourth slot? Don't recall anything unless Skuldoon or a re-visit to Arindale after I do this Naga Temple thing.
