just playing through the game again and finished the sith tomb on dxun and i kinda realised that when you battle the dark jedi they say that the ritual has been completed and that now the whole of onderon will fall or something like that. what exactly did they do as there is no further mention of it when going to the palace to rescue the queen and no super powerful people to fight or anything? anyone have any ideas as i don't really see the relevance of that tomb at all as far as the story goes.

huh... this is true... weird. maybe its just one of those things that was never completed because it was rushed to be finished... hmm

thats what i was thinking, but there is no mention of it on the TSL restoration project site so thought i'd ask on here if anyone knew. i suppose, it could have been a ritual to release more of the force so the sith lord (can't remember his name lol) could gain strength by feeding off dxun before destroying all life on onderon and then later on you kill him over telos before he actually has chance to go and feed off onderon. i suppose it was a sith lord tomb and had a lot of dark energy in it so it would make sense seeing as their master feeds off the force.

Riiight...
After reading the wiki link in the thread about chronicles, I noticed the following sentence:
Ajunta also hinted at a secret source of Sith power.
This could be it...
It could be, as Mr Sir said, be linked to 'feeding' Darth Nihilus...
Another idea could have been that the Sith were preparing it to corrupt a Jedi (
Kavar
?). Or maybe it was being used to do something like 'Battle Meditation'...

yeah it sound right, but in kotor 1 bastila had that battle meditation that she could use to win battles.
im not sure, but i think that they used ther battle meditation on onderon.

I was wondering if it was some sort of ritual to increase the mental control they had over the beasts they were using? More likely it was sloppy thinking on the part of the scriptwriters; they're evil so their doing an evil thing. They don't need a motive, cos they're evil

i found out what they were doing. they were trying to "harrness the planets dark side powers so that onderon will finally be free from the republic and the incompetent rule of talia" or something to that effect. i didnt really understand it but... *shrugs* you know sith... always twisting the truth...
you know there deal... they also said that the planet "seemed alive with the dark side" eh... just thought id share.

I always figured that the ritual had to do with them being able to control the beasts. When you run into the Siths on one side of the tomb, they are talking about how anyone can control the beasts...
