Why is it every time I want to ascend to monk none of the houses let me finish the quest in fact I can't even trade any more so what can be the problem please help . PS I'm running V1.4.

You need to offer us more info?
You possible have unfinished quest?
What quest have you done for the Eastern Houses and which have you not.

I know if you tell them you don't want to follow the path of the tiger then they won't deal with you any more. You have to help the lady in the inn in arindale. D

I did no other guild quests I did answer "walk the way of the Dragon" and still after a while they just won't trade with me at all only quest I accepted was the catacumbs quest.

You need to finish all the starting quests in fargrove first and get to Arindale, there go to the house of the tiger and you should be able to get the option to quest for the monk class if you meet the requirements. You don't get the quest from the house of the dragon at least not before you get back from Arindale.

I did go to Arindale and got the quest and killed the ninja but both of the houses won't let me finish it and I don't get the option to trade.

Thats weird... have you tried to make a new character just to make sure that it didn't glitch out? I'm just about to have to throw away a fighter/adept/maruarder/paladin/... because it won't let me quest for deathlord or crusader... I started over after the trial of ancient elders... in a very calulated mistake I carefully exported it to a LAN game then made a 1 player LAN game with it and saved and then loaded it up as a single player game... worked like a charm... till... I am on the 2nd celstial quest without the crystals I need and no way to get them so there it is I can't do the 2nd quest therefore I can never get to the crusader quest.... on the other front... I'm being told to rescue sir falen but since it didn't actually trigger since the new game was made the game isn't putting sir falen there to be rescued... no rescue no deathlord.... bangs head on desk and scraps the last few days, literally, work...
