Help needed, no sniggers, how do you have sex ?

Hi all, playing Fable but cant seem to get my leg over, have married and that, anyone that can help please ?
Once you're married, go to your house with your wife (I think you have to be in the house but not sure). You have to court her again (perfume, gifts, flirting expressions, etc.) and eventually she will turn green and you can talk to her. She'll ask if you want to go to bed, and you're there.
Someone also commented that if you go to your house when it turns to night and block your wife from leaving and from getting on the bed eventually she'll ask if you want to go to bed. I haven't tried that so I don't know if it's true or not.
