Letting your ghoul go after you recieve the body armor?

Is it possible to tell Heather to leave after you have received the body armor so that you'll gain a point of humanity (after that she does die in a sabbat mission anyway, right)? I'm still missing one point and I don't know if I'll get any more of them during the course of the game. I had a chance to get one by letting Julius leave but I chose the experience point instead.

EDIT: By the way, I heard to you're supposed to be able to put up the poster from Velvet in one of your havens. How do you do that?

Velvet's poster (spoiler text follows)just appears in your haven one of two ways. If you do everything VV asks the way she wants it done and are nice to her, she'll tell you that she's sending one over (and it just shows up). The other way to get it is to retrieve something for Gary (he'll email you the mission), and he'll send you the poster (just shows up on your wall). You can't get two copies, though. If you've gotten it from one NPC, the other won't give you a second.

As for Heather and the body armor, I simply can't remember. The only time I've kept her around enough to get the body armor was months ago, and I don't recall if I had the choice to convince her to go. Of course, I was playing a Malk at the time and couldn't figure out what most of my dialogue options meant anyway.

No, if you keep Heather long enough around to get the armour, you won't be able to let her go... *sigh* poor girl.

Yep...it's either body armor, or letting her go before she dies....

You can get the armor, save her and keep her in all your Havens ( I currently have all 4 havens) if you have unpacked your files and do not mind doing a little editing. :)
Much of the info on how to get started in this thread I started when the game came out.
http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/showt ... hp?t=53829

Think they decided not to sticky the thread and it did get lost, maybe we could use a sticky thread where people could ask questions, about moding.
If you are intrested in any feature and need help, try posting your question in that thread, it could help it from getting buried and I will try to answer. :)

It seemed to still be very relevant thread, since many people currently playing dont seem to know, how easy it is to Mod and makes the game a blast trying any NPC skin as your PC.
Like VV or Jeanette use, there skins for you favorite clan. :)

I do know setting things like your jump to 100 make the game very fun being able to jump as high as lightpost :p

I hacked Heather to safety. If there were some way to try and prevent it I would've done that but the only way to save her is to cheat by editing a couple files.

Welll Cheating is the wrong word, Cheating involves hurting another, which is impossible in a single player game. :)
Though you are correct editing a couple of files is required to save Heather, if you do not send her away.

is telling her to change her appearance an error?

Hi, again.

After Heather brought the guy to my haven she mentioned she was being followed and considering I ran into someone from my mortal life, I decided to use the "about your appearance, change it" dialogue option.

Was that an error? The only dialogue options now are "change it" or "I'll be back"....

I was hoping she'd turn out different looking but nice looking and I could say something like "Much better, my pet" and then we'd get along great. Now she just calls me "master"...

thats normal - she'll have more to say when you get further into the game :)

Yes and you have to change levels for her to change into another of her 3 or 4 outfits.
NO you don't get to watch her change! :p

Yeah, I just don't think the gothchick or the porn pinup is appropriate as a servant to my rather proper Tremere lady.

I wish I could interact with her more though, in fact with a lot of the NPCs more. I find ghouls very interesting; in my vampire games I run I have folks play ghouls because they can have so much complexity.

armor gift from Ghoul?

Ok, apparently I missed this.

I went back to my haven post the Leopald society and she was gone.

Now I read on the quest walkthroughs that she's been kidnapped and is in the Hallowbrook place where I currently am.

How did I miss her armor gift? I went back to my haven after almost every quest I finished.

To get the armor gift from your ghoul, you have to visit her after the SOC quest and before you visit Lacriox.

Normally the best approach is to vist Venus, Ghoul and Mecurio, after and before missions.

SOC?

I'm a total newbie to the game (clear from my questions I suspect).
