Implants Question

Just wondering if I'm right in this...it seems to be (based on my gameplay experience) that the CON reqs for implants are based on actual CON (that is, natural, and not raised by outside means like belts and the like). Is this right? If so, is this also true for Sentinel CON bonuses for Lightside Mastery? Or does that count? Thanks.

Nope. At least as far as i can tell, all that matters for implants are your 'natural' CON levels. Period. Which kinda annoyed the crap outta me the first time i played, to be perfectly honest...

I'm not entirely sure, but i think it is taken on current CON, so your equipment does count. Not so sure about the LS/DS bonuses though. :\
Edit: uhm, so i was wrong? Sorry.

its definately just on your initial con without items and bonuses - i usually play quite low con characters and boosted con doesn't allow you to wear implants, even with the ls/ds mastery boosts.

If you think about it, it kinda makes sense. Your natural CON is the only thing that remains constant. Everything else varies according to what you're wearing or your actions. Imagine you standing around, as light side as can be, and you suddenly feel an urge to trip a nun (okay, fine, a "space nun") as she's walking down the street. As soon as you do, implants start falling out of your head, and the whole thing is a mess.
Come to think of it, maybe they should set the game up that way...:mischief:

I've played games where bonuses from other items
do allow you to equip things (DiabloII I think was one?) If you then 'lose' the required stats, they simply stop working and/or unrwuip themselves. Seems to work OK. I think I'd prefer that

I think I would too. Or at the very least, let the CON bonuses for Light Side Mastery (Sentinel/Watchman) count. Otherwise, it seems like a poor boost, really.
