wizard slayer

Well, I've been wanting to play a Wizard Slayer ever since I read a journal posted by Crownhead about his adventures with a Wizard Slayer/Mage (kinda Ironic when you think about it
). While his adventures with the class seemed fun and exciting, it seemed like he was relying 90% on his mage side to get him through tough battles.
I have also thought about making a Wizard Slayer/Thief. The reason that character is great is because of the amazing high-level ability Use Any Item that thieves get. This makes the Wizard Slayer able to use the rings and amulets etc. that he couldn't use as a pure Wizard Slayer.
Here are my stats:
18/00 STR
17DEX
17CON
10 INT
10 WIS
14 CHA
++ Long Sword
+++ Katana
++ Sword and Shield Style
Level 9
Now, I have a few questions.
1) Does anyone know how to play a Wizard Slayer? I never solo so that is out of the question. In case you're wondering I'm playing with a party of 5 people. Minsc, Viconia, Cernd, Jan and Myself, a Wizard Slayer.
2) If I were to dual class to a Thief or a Mage, what level should I do it at? Remember that a Wizard Alayer gains 1% MR per level, increasing at level 20 to 5% every even level and 1% every odd.
Thanks.
