i'm playing the demo of gothic 1 just to get used to the controls etc. while i wait for my proper copy to arrive. anyway, i've got a quest where i have to get some meatbugs. now in gothic 2, all you did was swing at them and they died but i just can't hit them at all with my sword in gothic 1. how do you kill them?

(i realise how pathetic this sounds considering they are meatbugs lol but i honestly just can't hit them at all with my sword)

Try a bow.

I do remember they being difficult to hit remember they will highlight when in range and you can read there name.
As I remember they have to be almost under you, also try crouching, if possible I can remember.

Think you need 3-5, there are 2 near where you meant Diego at start, then just after those 2guys on the walkway above the path and finally 3 or 4 more in a rotten house near the Shadow hammering by the back gate.

Also can be hit with your fist.

i finally managed to kill them quite easily in the end with a pickaxe - i don't know why my rusty sword wouldn't hit them and the pickaxe would lol
