Virtual ram.

Recently I added an extra 256 ram on to my computer. My computer takes care of how much virtual ram it uses. The virtual ram has doubled though. Is that right or should I put it back to 381? I ask this because the computer doesn't seem much faster.

Don't touch a thing.

Yes, Rookierookie is correct. Leave it at that, as it is the best setting.

You may not notice the change in normal windows, such as browsing, typing up documents, being on MSN, looking through the computer etc.

However, if you were to try multimedia, such as making large pictures, or simply editing existing ones, it would be much faster.

Make sure you've installed the chiset drivers for your mobo, as well... They were probably installed before you even got the machine, but you might check, just to be sure...

Windows uses RAM rather poorly, so you won't really notice a big difference...

And you can have more things open at once, without it affacting the system performance.
