Downloaded this mod a while ago. Requires MWE 1.2. I have MWE 1.21. However, I cannot buy books and/or quills and inkpens... I have checked several of the listed vendors. Do these only show up in new games? I do have the ESP's installed and checked in the data files section.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong. Am going to d/l some other Enhanced mods so will keep this updated...

The "Enhanced" series of mods all run through MWE (Morrowind Enhanced). You must have MWE installed, and you launch Morrowind itself through the MWE panel. This really doesn't create any problems: I've run both Journal Enhanced and Writing Enhanced successfully for about a year, now, and the launcher works fine. You don't need all of the Enhanced mods to make the thing work, just the ones you want to use.

I've done that, and so far have only writing enhanced installed... I run a relevant version of Morrowind Enhanced with Morrowind. However, I cannot buy the books from Arrille and other traders.

Do I have to start a new game for this to work?

Absolutely not. I started running it midway in a game of mine, and had no problems locating both books and paper sheets in local bookstores. As for inkquills: I picked those up from various desks in the game, and never tried to buy one. Please don't be insulted, but--are you sure all the files were dearchived into the right directories?

Only other thing I can suggest is contacting the mod designer. They used to have a forum; and if they still do, that would be a good place to post your question.

Checked the files. It's just the ESP's and a couple of files in the main MWE file... That is all that is inside the zip files i downloaded...

Will look at site if i can find it... I think there are links through summit

UPDATE -

Installed journal enhanced as well as writing enhanced. Journal enhanced works...

Any ideas as to why writing enhanced does not?

None whatever. I suspect very few people use it. Are you sure there are no blank books and parchment at the start of the inventory for any booksellers? And have you tried using TESPCD, to see if there are any conflicts between WE and any other mods?

No clashes.

Books not added to Jobasha and other booksellers...

Still puzzled. Not that it'll make much difference, but it would have been nice to inventory all my stuff...

That's very odd. Did you try emailing the mod's creator? I wonder if it's a matter of loading order.
