I know this has already been posted but I have been trying to jump across
the trap to free Valdane for over 6 hours. I simply cannot do it. I have tried
everything I can think of. I put my athletics to 7 , used time mode, even taken off my armor and weapons, I have tried levitation, nothing works and I
am desperate. Is there anyway that I can use a hex to get across the trap.
I have tried timing my jumps, running from various distances down the hall but
I seem to just miss the wall on the other side.
Please, please, I need HELP

I always saved before attempting the jump. Backed up several steps, tilted view down, ran and jumped at very last instant at line marking edge of floor part that falls. You have a very slim margin for error but somehow I could do the jump most of the time.

yo man try when you jump hold shift to grab up but i dont know maybe i have bug or something like that but it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always found that I had to step just beyond what appeared to be the edge of the floor to make it across, if I jumped where I thought the edge was, then I missed and fell.

PS Go back to a save before you lost the points you put into athletics if you can. That skill won't help you at all.

The trick is to jump when you are actually PAST the edge of the floor. Throughout the game you should notice that you can actually walk past the edge of all platforms / walkways etc. at least 1 step without falling off, so it looks like you are floating in mid air.

That's the point where you have to be here when you jump to make it across. Works every time for me. I use the crystal of time so I can "time" it better.
