Help! I'm stuck on the "spies" quest (spoilers)

I just killed this Jearl lady in Bruma as part of the main quest call "spies". After breaking into her house and killing her, I looted the body and found a basement key. Then my journal updated saying that I need to find the HQ for the mythic dawn in Bruma. I've talk to almost everyone and search the city up and down but havn't been able to find where I'm suppose to use this basement key.

i think they mean the basement underneath the House of Jear, there a wooden door in the floor and from there you can get to the basement, and the tunnels.. i think that might be it.

Opps, sorry about not saying spoiler in the tittle.
I searched every inch of Jearl's house and couldn't find a basement door. I must be blind...but where in the house is the basement door?

make sure you got the good house
its a trapdoor... its suppose to be left of the table.. didnt check it out, but if a recal it good.. as you enter you will find mabey the second spie and a few atherthings..

I found it, it was left of the table and half covered by a carpet. They hid that thing well cuz I searched everywhere and it was right under my nose.
