amber,chain,figurine

while finishing a task for terjon in the emridy meadows when you get his lost property you also get the ambers a heavy gold chain and a figurine. do these items have any purpose in the game or can i just sell them.
im also having problems with the "carpenters dilemma". i cannot get terjon to agree to the conversion. i have finished the "terjon wants more" quest already.
