I am in ch3. Trying to get through the marshes. I think I got here before I was at a high enough level. Is there some where I can go got more EX before I tackle this area? The Ice trolls are killing me.

I don't think there is any place you can go to level up, from where you are. If you are having trouble with Ice Trolls, maybe you are using the wrong type of weapons. If I remember correctly, Ice Trolls require the use of blunt weapons. And once they go down, you need to finish them off with some sort of fire or acid damage.

If you don't think you are high enough level, then the next time you play, you can do some powergaming around the Goblin Warrens. Remember those Worg Riders that spawn outside the Warrens? You can stand there and fight them as they spawn, and you can go up several levels doing that.

You can go back to the Ice Palace and do the battle squares. You can win a few XP and a some useful items there.

If you haven't finished Fell Wood yet you can gain unlimited XP by killing skeletons and level-squatting.

But if you are strong enough to reach the marshes you should be able to pass them.

Summon 6 skeletons as helpers, cast magic circle against evil, bless, bull's strength, stone skin and other buffs, if you have a druid cast call lightning and static charge.

You should turn the AI off and enable autopause to avoid your fighters wasting attacks on immune trolls lying on the ground which require acid or fire.
