Hello
I would like to know how to open the manholes or the grate in the tutorial... it really stresses me, there are no icons that appear when I am near the manholes to open them... is it possible that I am facing a bug??

They're used the same way as doors. If you're standing near a manhole and you're facing down, there should be a little hand icon on indicating that you can use the manhole. Press the use item key (default E) to use it and drop down into the sewer.
If you're doing this and it's not working, I'm not sure what to tell you. Did you install one of the unofficial patches after you started your game? Some of the unoffficial patches have updated map files in them, and they get installed over your old maps. This can cause some bizarre errors in game saved with a previous version.

Yes I have installed one of the new patches I think that is the problem as well... oh well guess reinstalling is inevitable.... Thanks anyways!!

No need to reinstall. Just start a new game. The new map information will be read and you'll be fine.
When changes are made to the map files, it causes errors in previously saved games if you've already entered those maps. If changes are made to a map you have not yet entered, the new data will be read when that map loads and your game will be fine.
