Known Glitches
Posted: Fri Apr 07, 2006 8:09 am
Gold Glitch way 1:
-------------------
1. Get a horse and equip a sword or any other weapon that you can sell for 200 gold.
2. Then ride to the camp outside Kvatch.
3. Stay on your horse and ride up to the Female Orc merchant.
4. Talk to her while still on your horse and sell her the equipped item.
5. You can't un-equip it while on horseback, so it stays in your inventory, but you still
get the money. as an added bonus, you also gain skill in Mercantile.
Gold Glitch way 2:
-------------------
1. Go to the Talos district of the Imperial city, Dorian's house, it's in the SE section of the Talos district.
2. Anyway, break into his house, find him, when he tells you to leave kill him.
3. Loot his body, click on the gold he's carrying and keep hitting A like you normally would,
over and over, it will keep giving you gold, the number of gold pieces left will freeze
when it gets to 8 gold pieces and it won't go any lower, it will just keep giving you all
the gold you could ever desire. I have loaded it and tried it twice to make sure it's not a
fluke, and it's not, I just keep getting as much gold as I want. Make sure you get the
amount you want before you back out cause it won't do it again. It's awesome!
Gold Glitch 3:
-------------------
First you have to complete the Cure for Vampirism mission, and talk to The Count, Janus Hasslidor. When you talk to him, ask him about the "Reward" conversation option, but don't leave the conversation, and keep asking him about it. Every time you ask him about it you receive anywhere from 200 to 10k gold. Do this as many times as desired for unlimited gold.
Game Ending Glitch:
-------------------
There is a quest in the game, where you are supposed to take a boat from Bravil to a
fortress. Whatever you do, TAKE THE DANG BOAT! When I got the quest I wasn’t quite ready to tackle it, so I wandered around a bit to collect some more equipment before taking the
quest, and then ended up at the fortress w/o taking the boat. Do NOT do this - you'll get
caught in a loop that there is no escape from and you wont be able to do anything other
than restart an earlier save.
Duplication Glitch: (Found by Grimwrecker)
Exact steps:
1) Equip a bow, and a quiver of arrows.
2) Draw back bow (Hold R trigger)
3) Press the 'B' button while holding the Right Trigger.
4) Hit 'A' twice on the Arrows, to un-equip, and re-equip them
5) Don't close the screen, and goto what you want to drop.
6) Drop it, and leave the menu interface.
7) Pick up the items that have been duped.
*Note*
How ever many arrows that are in your quiver, is how many of the item your duplicating, that you shall receive.

Spring-heel Jak’s permanent +40 Acrobatics effect Glitch:
First you must have completed the Thieves Guild quests without destroying the Boots of Spring-heel Jak. In order to do that you must simply survive a small fall near the end of the last quest with the boots unequipped. After that go to the Shrine of Sanguine and get the quest there. Follow what the quest tells you to do and when you cast the spell, guards will try and arrest you. Get arrested. (Don't worry, all your equipment is in a chest at the Shrine of Sanguine, so you shouldn't lose anything.) After you serve your time, you should have the Boots of Springheel Jak in your inventory. If you try to equip them, it will say "You can not equip this enchanted item at this time." But if you check your Active Effects page under Fortify Acrobatics, it should say that you still have the boost from the boots. You can also feel free to equip any other boots as well.
Major Stat buffs:
Make a spell with these effects (in this order):
- Fortify Magicka 100 for 120 secs on Self
- Whatever other buffs you want here
- Weakness to Magic 100% for 5 secs on Self
Remember that you have to have enough magicka in the beginning to be able to cast the spell in the first place.Spam the spell until you have the max energy (and whatever else) that you want. Since it is adding 100 energy to your pool each time you cast it, you can cast it indefinitely for however much energy you want to have for two minutes. The weakness to magic wears off 5 seconds after you stop casting it, thus giving you zero penalty for doing this. Note that if you have enough beginning magicka, you can get it to buff up even faster by adding Fortify Intelligence to your spell. Also, it goes up much faster if you alternate between two identical copies of the same custom spell. The buffs are not "permanent". You can get 15k+ magicka in just 10-15 seconds, though, and as long as you keep recasting the buff before it runs out, it will stay.
Permanent CE:
The instructions give the easiest way to get this glitch to work... you must equip the exact number of arrows that I will list.
1) Equip Iron/Steel/Elven Arrows (2)
2) Pull back using RT then click B
3) At inventory screen, Click A twice on the Equipped Arrors...
4) Drop the item you want to keep the constant effect from (ie - Ring of Perfection +10 to everything)
5) Exit Inv. screen
6) Pick up the arrow you fired and the 2 rings you just duped
7) Equip one of the rings, and Equip Iron/Steel/Elven Arrows (10)
8) Pull back again, click B
9) Double Click on the Equipped Arrows
10) Now drop the Unequipped Duplicate of the Ring you're wearing.
Notice that even the equipped ring will be dropped. Retreive your arrow and you now have the constant effect of the ring (armor and amulets work as well).
Not sure if anyone has discovered this yet, but here's how to get a full set of
(better than normal) Daedric really early. First of all, you need a Conjuration spell of every piece of armor you want to have, as well as 75 armorer. It also helps to be in the Mage's Guild.
Conjure the armor you want when no enemies are around, then repair it to 125% (which you can't do with enemies present).
Normally, you can't de-equip conjured armor, but for some reason you can if you repair it past 100%. So, obviously, de-equip it, then just wait for the spell to expire.
At this point, the armor won't vanish on it's own, but will vanish if you drop it
(and possibly through other means that I haven't discovered), so it basically lasts forever unless you screw up.
Finally, you can enchant and rename the item, which apparently makes the game no longer consider it a conjured item at all, and it will stay even if you drop it.
The armor weighs nothing and doesn't encumber, and you can get it really early. Might not be as effective as later, pre-enchanted armor, but this trick will probably last you for a long time.
