Needing help here.

Unmarked Cave is just to the NE of Aleswell. It's a simple dungeon with rats but there is a locked door on the right tunnel that requires a key.

At the end of the left tunnel is a room with a hole in the ceiling.

There is also a section on the map that continues (it appears) from the room above you (through the hole) that leads to the Black Queen's Hall.

So far I have been unable to find a key or a way to the second floor.

I've done a search on the ES Forum site but no luck there, and no postings at all here when I searched for Unmarked Cave.

Anyone been here and gotten through these areas?

PS: It appears that this cave MAY be part of a Dark Brotherhood quest later in the game. That may be what needs to happen to trigger the key or access to the next level but that's just a guess.

Just started the DB quests and so far not there, but will travel to take a look see, sounds interesting. It is possible that it is quest related from what you're saying.

I was wondering the same thing you were. It does not have anything to do with the Dark Brotherhood quests though. As far as I know it doesn't have anything to do with any quest line. As I looked through Prima's guide, this is the only thing it says about the cave:
" 37. Unmarked Cave: Three-level mythic enemy and beast lair. Secret doors throughout and cave-in traps on initial and 'Mazeway' levels. Boss chest on entry level." I'm guessing that is what is beyond the locked door. I'm sorry if it doesn't help much. It didn't for me either.

use levitate to get through the hole in the ceiling OH WAIT, no more levitate, but i kno a secret , duplicate paint brushes and when you drop them they float in the air, use them as a jumping staircase to get up there. I am going to do this RIGHT NOW, boss sounds fun
