Firkraag journal bug need help
The problem is that the journal entry won't go away I did windspear hills rescued the guys son talked to the guy got exp and journal entry under Completed quests was bla bla bla son rescued gragon alive. I came back a few game weeks later when I was more powerful killed the dragon and I have a quest entry in uncompleted quests "Firkraag himself" the question is how do I get rid of this I spoke to both the guy his son (I can't remember names of the top of my head) and everyone in the order of the radiant heart in Temple district Protagonist is a Monk Party members include Korgan Keldorn Aiere Nalia and Anomen

Is it so important to you ? This may not be the best part of BG2 here but it definately is not close to it.
Sometimes this happens you just have weather it through and actually have that in your journal - it makes no difference as you recieve XP from completing the quest upon speaking to Garren Windspear rather than the journal entry being moved into 'Completed Quests' if you have OCD and you must have it then your at a loss unless you restart the entire mission and work methodically to complete it fully.

Amran, I'm not certain from his post that he has in fact reaped the experience (or other) rewards from that quest. While it may just be a shadow entry, as you indicate, it could also be a glitch that prevents the complete closure of that quest series.
JS, were you "forgiven" for the slaughter of the paladins?

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Very good point Fable.
More so now I just realised that if you rescued the 'daughter' I believe she is, from Conster and left Firkraag alive then talk to Garren to recieve xp reward (as that part of the quest is complete) and IF your a paladin you get the Paladin Stronghold quests that in the end result in you being tasked to whack Firkraag on the behalf of Prelate Weselan (probably too much of wuss to do it himself) then once you kill Firkraag and return with Caromsyr to speak with the Prelate you completed not only the paladin stronghold but the entire windspear hills/firkraag etc portion.
But if you retrieved the daughter, talked to Garren to recieve xp and left... it should be the same minus the stronghold quests.
Options available, when you do plan to kill Firkraag, alert Garren and his daughter of your intentions then do the killing and upon that killing return to them and tell them what you did. That I believe should solve the whole thing.
If not then I hope you can live with the pain of having that one journal entry haunt you.

As I posted I'm a monk so no paladin quests for me next run through will either be a ranger or a Paladin. basicly I did WS hills early on, rescued Garrens daugthter, reported back for exp, and everything was fine. Quest was finished stating that I rescued garrens daughter and dragon was alive. But I knew at that point level 10 or 11 I was no match for the dragon and I did'nt want to use cheese tactics. this was chapter 2, I came back with a level 14-15 party in chapter 3 and I got a quest entry after talking to the dragon (I wanted to issue a formal challange
) I guess if there is no way to change this I'll have to live with it it won't haunt me that much. In the mean time I got another phantom entry dropped Nalia picked up yoshi for chapter 4
and I have an uncompleted yoshi wants to see renal bloodscalp even though those quests have long since been finished.
