Luck

Is there any way to get x5 on your luck when you level up? I have everything else at 99 - 100 but my Luck is a miserable 47. I know it's too late on this game to get my luck up to 100 but for future reference it would be nice to know.

I'm around level 35 so I'm running out of fast level ups so it may take me a while to use trial and error in order to figure it out.

(Possible minor spoiler, I don't know)

Also, is there a list/location of the best trainers and can any of them go up to level 100? I've only found the person on the very top floor of the Lucky Lock up (I think that's what it's called, across from the stilt rider) in Balmora that got my Short Blade up to 100. Unless it glitched because I can still train with him at 100 but it never goes past 100. I'm not too experienced with going past 100 on a skill so I don't know if not being able to go over 100 is a glitch or the fact that he still trains me when I'm at 100 is a glitch.

Luck can only go up once per level. You can find a master trainers list on the walkthrough.

the easiest way to get more luck is just make a constant effect item of clothing with luck fortification on it. you can wear loads of clothes so just pick an item you don't really use much. for example, my character always wears trousers, skirt, shirt, belt, boots, cuirass, greaves, gloves, helmet and robe all at the same time. there is no way i use enchantments regularly on all those so i just turned my exquisite robe into a robe of luck. you can get +8 luck on an exquisite robe.

i think 100 is the max for any skill as my destructions skill is maxed out at 100, so the glitch is probably more the fact that he'll still let you pay for training.

you cant get a skill higher than 100, but you can still train and go up a level, i'm level 131 and all my skills are 100

You can use a CE item to reduce your skill by 1. Then you train it to increase it, take of the item and your skill is 101... Then you can level indefinitely...

that works too, but it's easier to simply use the console to set a skill that's at 100 up to 101. The only block in the game is leveling past 100, once you're at 101 there should be no restriction. Generally, for speed issues in morrowind (due to lack of fast trouble) i hack my speed up 100 to start the game, otherwise it takes twice as long to get around.

And if you're on Xbox? Or don't like using the console? I also boost my speed, but since I don't usually use speed-based skills, it's not a 'hack'...

Luck is worth investing in - I usually pick it for a +10 bonus at the beginning... It improves loot and everything else...

I believe that Corpus randomly increases and decreases stats.

I got my luck up through Corpus, jail and fortify CE items.

First off, corprus does not randomly change your stats. It increases strength and decreases you Int and char (i think) stats based on how long you've had it. There's a bug in the game that you can keep the disease until your strength hits 100, then get a cure and get your other stats back to where they were, but still have the 100 strength. It's complicated though, b/c it involves actually contracting the disease, which isn't the same as how it's done in the main quest.

1) if you're on xbox, moot point. Otherwise you should know how to use your console so that you can give the creeper 500,000 septims and not have to go through the five hours of hell selling him 20,000,000 worth of loot.

2) speed affects everything in the game from how fast you move to how many attacks you get per round in d and d (er, for morrowind, how long it takes you to get to your next attack). Therefore, if you change your speed illegitimately, it's haxing your character... even if you DON'T use the skill you change, it's still hacking your character to make them better without legitimate leveling. if you do it, that's cool. especially for something lame like speed, but still haxing.

If you don't want to change the character through using cheats etc. then what I tend to do is just buy any speed fortifying ingredients I see and make loads of speed potions - this allows you to get places quicker and increases your alchemy at the same time (plus as you get better alchemy gear and a better skill level in it, the potions last longer and longer and increases speed more). These days, if I want to get anywhere fast, I just take 4 or 5 powerful speed fortifying potions and a powerful levitate potion/spell and you get there in no time.

My point was that some people don't like using the console - and would rather use glitches/exploits - making potions/soulgems for example, rather than giving themselves money...

Attack speed is governed by weapon, and perhaps skill level...

the fastest cheapest way to level is buy purchasing a drain ability spell from this chick guarding the jail in moonmoth. then you just go to a person who will make a spell for you. make a spell with that ability on self drop that attribute 100 for a couple of sec. just enough time to talk to your trainer while your chosen stat is 0. train in that stat for 1 gold. after you train your stat will go to normal +1. no real cheating involved and every trainer can be a master trainer. kinda cheesy but it gets the job done. ohh and if your character is a breton or orc your created spell will not be as affective but still much cheaper and you can train for lvls even when your stats are 100.

Cheats

http://www.neoseeker.com/Games/cheats/X ... owind.html

if you go on this website, you should be able to get a cheat up on how to raise any of your attribute levels.

My luck at the moment is on 782 thanks to the cheat, but if you don't want to cheat, then you're gonna have to find the master trainer. Look on the walkthrough guide to see where the master trainer is.

Tribunal Spoiler - highlight to read
Spoiler
In the Mournhold Temple District you will encounter a Bosmer called Gaenor who will ask a monetary favour of you. If you comply, eventually you'll need to fight him..... It is perhaps the toughest fight in the game, but he is wearing an amulet that is enchanted with +15 to luck at constant effect.

DW - Gaenor's amulet is pretty good, however, I prefer the Necromancer's amulet... Personal preference I suppose...

It's not just you. The measly 15 luck Gaenor's Amulet provides is nowhere near the realm of the enchantment on the Necromancer's Amulet.

Regarding Gaenor's amulet vs. the Necromancer's, I agree completely. I mentioned it, though, because the topic was on how to raise Luck. :)
