hello, so i think i am stuck and cant continue in my game due to a game glich, or at least as far as i can tell.
i am in the draedoth temple in the valley of ruin, here is the walkthrough

http://www.gamebanshee.com/dungeonlords ... thmain.php

i am at number 9, the pillar puzzle. this is what the walkthrough says....

"In detail, you should first pull the levers at #9a and #9b (you’ll have to jump down to get the one at #9b). That will cause the pillars at #9c and #9d to rise. Then you should jump to the lever at #9e and pull it."

ok so i pull 9a, then jump down to pull 9b, then i go back to jump up to the ledge at 9a so i can jump on the middle pillar then jump to 9e.

but....i cannot jump back up to the legde that has switch 9a. no matter what i do, i cannot jump back up. i tried backflips, pressing the space bar many many times to jump, i tried jumping in slow motion with time crystal, i tried running jumps, nothing i seem to do gets me back up to where i started next to switch 9a. it could that i am short, i am a thrall, i dont know.

im assuming i need to get past this pillar puzzle, or can i skip it?

if i have to get past it, can someone please edit my characters location to the end of the puzzle? to the ledge at 9h?
im so frustrated, im getting close to the end of the game, i would hate to get stuck here. i havnt played dungeon lords in five days now, im desperate :)

ok thxs for any help

yes, but...i cannot jump back up to the ledge where switch 9a is, that is my problem....ive tried every kind of jump over and over again....so i am stuck down in the lower area where switch 9b is. ive fallen...and i cant get up...

if anyone can edit my game, its best if you edit me up to the last point of the puzzle, cuz if i fall during jumps, i wont be able to get back up again.

AW, cmon! All you have to do is walk up against the ledge near where you entered the room, keep holding forward and hit space

i can assure you its not that easy....i just tried again to make sure its not me, and had my friend try it out.

i tried thirty running jumps, and thirty jumps at the ledge using the spacebat it didnt work. my friend also couldnt get back up on the ledge.
ill even send you my save game so you can see for yourself.

im completely stuck. i would do it myself, but i dont understand how the
co ordinates work in the save game files, ive tried to edit my location, but always fail. so if anyone can help edit my game, it would be very appreciated.

Only other thing I can think of is you must have very low or no athletic ability in the C menu.

nope tried that too, raised my athletics to ten just to see if that would help, didnt help

plus ive read that athletics does not increase how high you jump. this is really some kind of bug or flaw. if no one can edit my game, then could someone then give me some idea how the x,y,z, co ordinates work then? i read they are at the bottom of the save game, but i dont understand the large numbers or what they mean.

all i need is to increase my vertical height, which i guess is z, and move forward a bit so im on the ledge, which is either x, or y im guessing.....then maybe i can try to edit my own game....

someone please help :)

Ok, I've sent you a private message with an address to send your save to. I'm totally intrigued about your situation!

I'm working on it. Something weird, moving my mouse forward and back zooms the scene in and out. Seems as if something is out of kilter with movement controls.

Just returned your save file. Due to the weird control scheme you're using, I'm afraid this won't be the only incidence of jumping because the character just will not grab at ledges when jumping. Maybe if you set your controls to default

darn....ive gotten this far with my controls, i didnt change that much, just some of the movement keys so i can turn left and right with keyboard keys A and D, and moved the straffe keys to Q and E.

i even did the entire shadow dungeon with all its jumping puzzles, including the tower one where you had to climb ledges.

i must be 3/4 of the game through. im sure if i edit my character up and a bit over, i doubt ill encounter more climbing puzzles, and if i do, i can edit my character again.

i just have to understand how the large co ordinate numbers work, im used to two digit co ordinates, like 23,21,34. but the numbers ive seen are always larger.
say i wanted to move up one character heights worth, and forward a few squares, or even if i could cut and paste the co ordinates of where i was at the beginning ledge so i can do the puzzle....

just anything, i really want to finish this game. if anyone can help me understand how the co ordinates work and what the numbers mean, it would be much appreciated

According to the path I usually take, after Draedoth Temple, I have Tomb of Souls and Irynthabl Maze. I don't recall anywhere in those where it's required to grab a ledge. Somehow, for Draedoth Temple has changed to where you couldn't jump and grab anything. I continued on through Draedoth Temple with your character and made it out with the relic. I just had to be careful and not push my mouse forward and back because that changes the zoom in and zoom out. So the big mistery is, "why can't your character grab ledges in Draedoth Temple?"

At any rate, just continue and you should be alright.

It's shocking the amount of shortcuts and bypassing key events in a game, and then quests start to get broken. Nothing works right. For instance, you might have all the key items, but when you go to implement them, the npc to receive the item is either not available or will refuse the item.

DL is pretty open and you can do practically anything you want to it, but there is a point where you can REALLY screw up a save file and the only thing to do is start over and NOT use shortcuts such as editing a game to get key items without ever having talked to key npc's, or without going to such and such a place to clear out your quest log.

AW H**L, I've been through the game so many times (24 at last count) that NOTHING is beyond me and I look forward to actually playing the game 100 percent, NOT wimping out
