I've read numerous posts about people trying to delve into the deepest regions of the negative AC and people trying to build the ultimate regenerating character.
What about the most unlucky character ever created?
Anyone ever read that old bible story about this guy named Job and they take away everything he ever has to test his faith?
For RP purposes wouldn't it be fun to have a character go through BG with all the cursed items at his disposal and have all the girls reject him and all his party members leave him and all his quests go hideously wrong?
That would be hilariously pathetic and heartbreaking. But then after all his struggle he would finally be able to become...

Items could be the Cursed Berserking Sword, Leather of Missile Attraction, Ring of Folly, Clumsiness and Fools, Gauntlets of Binding, Boots of Phasing and some other things.

Make a Don Quixote in BGII
Instead of cursed item I will prefer normal weapons. A character that only gain some quest XP, avoid all combat, and if it is not possible he only win for lucky or something other external.
A vampire atack him, then he run for the nearest city oficer.
Pass the entire game in maximun level 12.
That will be fun.

Don Quixote Chaotic Neutral? Surely he means well? Minsc is also a loonie, but he's Chaotic Good. The idea that Chaotic Neutral characters are deranged stems from AD&D's bad Alignment descriptions, IMO.

In BG1, by talking to Eldoth Kron with two people simultaneously (I have never been able to repeat the feat) I got Biff the Understudy to join my party. All his stats are 9 and he has about 10 hitpoints. I tried playing him, and that was masochistic enough for me.

Nightfall: great idea. I like the idea of going through with such an unlucky bastard.
Ivan: I don't think Nightfall is really describing a Don Quixote character, as unlucky is different than mentally-ill. But I like your discription of Quixote and Pancho. On the alignment, certainly Don Quixote thinks he is lawful good, but I would say that he is chaotic good. Also, his intelligence and wisdom could both be very high, he just has a problem understanding reality from unreality, which is really a mental illness and not a mental capacity issue.
Xyx: I completely agree on the poor description of chaotic neutral by the D&D people (it would absolutely not be a difficult class to play). I've hated that for almost 15 years.
