Okay,

I must at some time have contracted the vampire disease but did not know it. The problem is that my character has had no change in appearance, no stat increase, no additional abilities, and no damage from sunlight but people still refuse to correspond with me and call me filthy beast. I never had any of the dreams associated with becoming a vampire. Also I don't get the option of feeding on sleeping npc's. I have loaded a previous save game and consumed cure disease potions and visited shrines but nothing works.I still end up being treated like a leper by non quest npc's but have none of the positive effects of vampirism. I could'nt find this problem on any other vamp threads so any info would help. I am lvl 27 and have bareley scratched the surface of the main quest or any guild quests, I of course would prefer not to start over.

You can go see Raminus Polus on the first floor of the Arcane University. He will direct you to Janus Hassildor the Count of Skingrad who will send you on a quest for a cure for vampirism. He will send yout to see a witch who asks you to collect ingredients.

Here is the problem...One of the ingredients is bloodgrass. I acquired this ingredient along with all of the rest. The witch ancknowledges and says something about each ingredient except for the bloodgrass. And I have not been able to get the witch to recognize that I have the bloodgrass in my possession, so the game is stuck. Every time I speak to her she says, "once I have all the ingredients..." Its a glitch that has me stuck as a vampire. I am level 48.

Same advice, do a forum seach on Vampire Cure and try doing the cure as if it's all done. If not, let us know, I'll give you the cure ID (if you're on the PC) then you might break out of that bug.

I've been wandering around for a while, and contracted vampirism in a dream far from imperial city. I figured I'd take care of some local stuff and then make my way back. I didn't realise it would progress as it did, and the trip got pretty arduous once I couldn't travel by day anymore. Not htat I made it back, I tried to talk to Polus in the Arkane arcademy, but he refuses to talk to me due to beeing a vampire. Shuold I try to just skip that and go right back to skingrad (where I just came from) and try to find hte count?

In order for people to talk to you as a vampire, you have to suck someone's blood and then talk to them. Whenever someone won't talk to you, it's because your skin has turned a lot paler, thus giving off a vampiric look that people would rather ignore.

I was'nt able to get the "cure" quest from Raminus for some reason and had to load a much older save game. I'm not sure why the glitch occured and could'nt bypass it because I'm not on the pc. Oh well, thanks for the help anyway.
