Jedi_Marc, I've heard a lot about the droid factory and its a cut content. Not to worry though as there is a 3rd-party website called Team Gizka the Sith Lords Restoration Project dedicated to restoring cut content from the game, as what many people have mentioned before.
Never tried it before but if you want a more complete experience, I suggest heading there.

Most of the content on the Sith Lords Restoration project site (
http://www.team-gizka.org/) is still unfinished so you cannot download the cut parts of the game just yet. While they are working on restoring the cut parts of the game, such as the droid factory, you can still download a few patches and fixes etc. from their site (including a couple of re-balancing patches).

Statement: The droid factory is one of many things Obisidian had cut out of the game.
Irritated Statement: I myself, was looking foward to finding the factory... Then when the question was raised on where it was and I found out it didn't exist I became aggrivated.
Confused Query: Why did they have to take it out? It seems vital to HK-47's story and understanding of the game and HK-50 droids.
Conclusion: I am sure, though, Obisidian had a good reason for keeping it out of the game and was sad to part ways with it as well. Maybe we will find out more in the next KOTOR...

Recollection: So he did.
Statement: Too bad Obisidian couldn't make the deadline. Maybe they could have fit in the factory and fix up most if not all of the glitches hidden within the game.
Query: Because really, would any of you mind waiting a couple months more for the release of KOTOR II - if you knew in that waiting period Obisidan was making your favourite game better and more realistic?
Answer: I would think most of KOTOR's players wouldn't mind waiting a couple months or a year later if Obisidian in that time was making the game better... For all of us.
Recommendation: I encourage the next makers of KOTOR III to take the small errors of KOTOR II in mind and make sure they do not make the same mistakes.
Conclusion/Query: Because really, if KOTOR III is going to be the last game in the series shouldn't it be the best?

The TSL Restoration Project is still unfinished. They release bug fixes every now and then but the actual restored content will not be available until they have finished restoring the game.

To add to Mr Sir's post, there is no timeline for a release from Team Gizka, so it is a 'we will finish it when we finish it" thing.
Also, don't blame Obsidian for the rush out the door. It was Lucasart that imposed the deadline & told them to get it on the shelf.

HK-50, I hope KOTOR 3 isn't the last installment.

if i may interupt. it seems that the droid factory was not fully cut out of the game. the first time that i played it many years ago. i was able to get there though now how i did it is a mystery as i played it on xbox. i remember it being in the telos underground base near where you found the broken hk unot. but where there was once a tank droid was now a mighty rancor. i had to fight all the hk-50 units and the rancor. then HK-47 took over the base and started producing HK-51 units to aid the exile in her soon to come fight with Nihilus. its quite perplexing really ~face desks hard~

Someone's idea of what the droid factory looked like, no idea how reliable it is though.

I get tired waiting for that patch. It's been more than a year that they started developing it, so i don't think they will end it at all.
