Don't know why but I'm sure it's a bug, I'm getting expelled from the DB, TG, MG, and FG just by doing the quest where you have to kill the trolls at a farm helping the 2 sons of a guy in chorral. right before the end of when I kill them all I am getting kicked out of every quild I'm in. I never had this problem when I was playing my other charactor. But I don't know if the bug has to deal with the imperial corruption quest because the guy you get thrown in jail comes and I have to kill him right before I fight the trolls. Is there a patch for it or what? anyone know what to do? I've tryed to restart the quest about 5 times and have had the same result. Please help.

you just HAVE to do that stinky quest? if you have to many problems with a side quest like that then leave it... you get nothing good out of it anyway

I think it's required for the Fighters Guild quest line, so if you leave it, you have to abandon that line, too.

Did you accidentally kill one of the brothers? That might account for it. If not, there are console commands you can enter (assuming you're using a PC) that remove any infamy and crimes from your record.

Funny thing is I don't think I hit one of the brothers at all, I'm on the pc so if there is a way to make it so that I'm not expelled from all the guilds I would be really happy. Thanks.

Try:

SetPCInfamy 0

player.setcrimegold 0

Be sure you save before doing these. Several of the console commands are known to be buggy. And you may have to enter the second command, leave an area where guards are present, then return to see if it's had any effect. It should have. Be sure to check your stats to see if your crimes and infamy ratings were changed after using them, too.

I think I figured it out. I had a horse there that I bought, when I moved him out of the way I went through it fine.

Heh, they need to fix it so that assaulting your horse isn't a crime. Perhaps it's to prevent exploits, but I never take my horse along to any place I expect to need to fight.

Of course, that remark does not refer to Shadowmere, since he can't be killed, and I have accidentally assaulted him with no ill effects.

did u by chance do the clavicus vile daedric quest and keep umbra instead of giving it to him?.....cause he causes all kinds of mischief for you if you did that................me i was expelled from all guilds except the brothers of the virtuous blood right after i denied the daedra his prize.....it may be a glitch, i dunno, but i assumed the god was screwin with me and i posted a warning on these forums
