Have you tried editing the character file with ShadowKeeper and seeing if you can select the Sorcerer kit?

From what people told me, those single classes (Sorcerer, monk, ect)are hard coded into the game so they can't be dual classed. But I use a mac so I don't know for sure.

It is a game editing program that allows you to change character stats, game variables, add items to your inventory, how many spells you can have, which spells you know, appearance. Pretty much anything to do with your main character and your party members. I'd definately recommend downloading it.

As far as I know, there isn't any mod that will let you play a Kensai/Sorcerer. It simply isn't possible.
However, we have had this discussion before, and there is one possible solution. In your case, you can play a Kensai/Mage with special abilities, thanks to a hack that was discovered by a member named UserUnfriendly. He found a way to give your party members unlimited spellcasting ability. In a roundabout way, this lets your non-Sorcerer party members enjoy the same benefit that Sorcerers enjoy--being able to choose any spell out of your spell book whenever you want to cast it. Does it make your Kensai/Mage a true "Sorcerer"? Nope. But if you try it, you might like it.
To make a long discussion short, I took UserUnfriendly's advice and created a spell that you can be given to your character(s) with ShadowKeeper. You can download it, unzip it, put it in your /OVERRIDE directory, open your game with Shadowkeeper, and give it to your character(s). The spell makes your entire party rest. This allows you to use any spell you want any time you want, as long as you memorize the spell you want before you use the Rest spell. It also lets you use special abilities such as Kai as many times a day as you like, and it restores items that can only be used once a day. It's so cheesy, I hardly ever use it anymore. Can you handle the temptation?

I should probably make a toned-down version that only refreshes your memorized spells instead of making your party rest, but I don't have one at the moment.
You can see the old message thread at the following location:

Look for a file I uploaded called "REST2.ZIP". I'm sorry we couldn't give you exactly what you wanted, but have fun!

woah! thanks a LOT everyone.

but i dunno' about that rest spell, see i don't like it cheesy (my place to say so when i want a kensai/soreserer hehe) cause i'm doing everything to make the game as difficult as possible. just finished the game (2min ago) with my soloing kensai/mage, on "insane" difficulty and no boots of speed, and no ToB levels = no high level spells.

hehe gues if i'm proud. but again thanks a lot.

err.. installed shadowkeeper. looks like a lot of fun things there, but the broblem is that i can't play te edited save. i've moddified my character in one of my saves (just checking-out modifications) and saved the new save and all (the edited save is listed among my other real saves when i "open saves" in shadowkeeper) but in the game i can't find the edited save??? is it because i have ToB installed or what?!

would be thankful for some help.

Shadowkeeper works with TOB. When you go to load the saves there should be a seperate one with (edited) written after it. This is the new save that you use. Not sure why it hasn't shown up.

My edited files are always saved as [save game name] - (00001) in the same folder as my other saved games.
Are you perhaps saving the file to the multi-player saved game folder instead of single player or vice-versa?

You can also add all kensi's attack speed, damage, ect to a sorceror and add useanyitem from thief and you pretty much have a kensi/sorceror.
