How do we know which team is better if you have gone and changed Aerie and Jan? That makes three people in your party which we no relatively nothing about.

If your question is who is better, Jaheira or Mazzy in a group that already has 3 tanks (PC, Anomen, and Sarevok), then I would say Jaheira.

I agree everything Doltan says. And with Jaheira you can acess the priest/druid spells that you loose from changing Aerie

Jaheira is preferable to Mazzy in this case because of her druid spells.

Why would you want to change Jan? Swashbucler? F#ck if you want him mix it up toe to toe, use Tensoruber's Transfomation...

Jahiera over Mazzy anyday (Doltan's rply + Anomen gives you all the cleric undead stuff you need).

The second one because if you are retarded enough to cheat, you deserve to have Mazzy the reject

Between Mazzy and Jaheira, eh?

I have been playing TOB with a party that includes both of them. They each have their strengths, that's for sure...I use Mazzy as my premier tank. (I didn't take Sarevok, though...) I gave her prof. in hammer and have her use Crom Faer. When she runs at groups of enemies with her little boots of speed and her little dragon suit (red dragon scale plus dragon shield) she looks like a holy bowling ball of destruction!

I think given the party you've outlined, though, that I agree with the other posters above. Jaheira has a lot of versatility in TOB. She has iron skins, the insect spells, and Harper's Call, which are all very good. There is that big dead spot between 14th and 15th levels in her druid class, but she keeps getting special abilities each time she gains levels in fighter, even if she isn't getting any spells. Since the cleric abilities are memorized in 7th level spell slots, she can only use one a day until she gets to 6 million total exp! However, she can get the elemental transformations, which are pretty cool, and she can get fighter abilities like grtr whirlwind, which is a +. The way she can pick from all these different abilities is definitely cool.

Both Jaheira and Mazzy need strength enhancing gear if they are going to fight hand to hand. If they are going to be mainly providing ranged support, then Mazzy gets an edge because she is such a good shot and she can use Gesen's bow, where Jaheira is better with the sling of everard or something.

As far as your Shadowkeeper alterations, I can definitely understand changing Jan to a Swasher - I love to play them and he will certainly be able to help out in combats, at least as a hard-to-hit target. But Aerie? She's just so... I think it would have really cool to Shadowkeep Korgan into some kind of Chaotic Good foaming at the mouth Berserker/Wild Mage with a fairy dragon familiar!

i think its gay to use shadow keeper in the first place the only reason u should use it is to 1 test things 2 replace stuff that wasnt yur fault that got deleted and such or 3 for stuff like romance that gets ruined and quests that dont start

Why change Aerie to Mage?
Why change Jan to a swashbucker?
You need a mage? you got Imoen.
You need a swashbucler? Become one yourself and pick Keldorn for a paladin!
Sometimes I think that shadowkeeper shouldn't exist!

Cheats,
for my part I always preferred until now Mazzy to Jahiera because in SoA multis s*cked somewhat...With ToB it's less clear, and your party is fighter-heavy, so perhaps you should keep Jaheira to have more versatility in the group.

I'm somewhat fed up with Nippy-Raven-etc attitude of saying what's "right" and what's "not right" to do with NPCs, Shadowkeeper, and so on...men , play the gamle as YOU wish, let the other play as THEY wish, that's the basic of freedom !
You can complain against cheesy tactics that spoils the game's fun, but here where's the problem ?
Even if I don't do it, I can understand that others feel the NPC classes are not well balanced and want to change it...

Oh well, ...

Looks like you've wound a few people up :D
Words like "Shadowkeeper", "Cromfaeyr", "Ring of the Gaxx", "Ring of the Ram" to name but a few have a tendency to wind people fastrer than an Evil Kneavel stuntbike. :D :D
Another good one is "kensai/mage". :D

Hey,
Kensai/Thief is better with Throne of Bhaal:
You han use the thief ability "use any item" to wear any armor.

I agree. there is something oxymoronic about "Jan the Swashbuckler" :)
A bit like "Aerie the Berserker"

Now "Jan the Jester" is worth doing the Shadowkeeper thing for. :)

Another thing; I think Viconia should be a Necromancer( helping people as a cleric just don't make sense) and Nalia should be a Cleric of Lathander since it's her natural inclination to help folk.

A Drow necromancer? Are you kidding? in the underdark the mage is a class reserved for males.
