Quest IDs for player.setstage console command?

Post by Belthan »

I've found numerous resources with item IDs & location IDs to use with console commands, but I haven't found such a list for Quest IDs (and stage numbers) to use with the player.setstage command. I generally abhor using cheats, but I need this to get around what I've been told is a known glitch in one of the TG quests. Anybody know where I can find such a list?

OK, technically I just need one Quest ID & stage number, but I'm willing to look it up myself if anybody can point me to a list. Spoiler: I need to get past the glitch at the end of the Boots of Springheel Jak TG quest where the Grey Fox will never contact you again if you mentioned Springheel Jak's diary to him. Or if there's a way to get around it without using a console command, I'd be happy to hear it.

List? As in online? There is no list, you have look it up yourself in the CS. Now I am not entirely sure which do you need - the ending of it, or the beginning of the next one? It's not a problem to see what you need, just let me know exactly what. If you've finished that one, and you haven't been contacted because of the diary, then to trigger the next one you need

player.setstage TG11Heist 10

And that'll get you rolling. If it's some part of the previous, with the Boots, I need to know exactly what stage do you wish to trigger, or rather after what event. Just to finish it, if that's the issue, type:

player.setstage TG10Boots 100
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

Capital! That's exactly what I needed - I had finished the boots but the heist wouldn't start. Thanks much! If it's not too much trouble to describe, what's this "CS" where the quest IDs are found, in case I should need a similar fix in the future?

No, no problem. It's the TES CS - The Elder Scrolls Construction Set (for Oblivion, because there's one for MW too). You can download it, free from their site. It's not very big, around 6Mb if I remember well. That's where all the IDs, quest IDs etc come from. You click File/Data, check the main Oblivion.esm (It says Master File under Status) file, click ok and wait a few moments and voila. :)

Actually, you can find it here. They have a lot of other information as well.
