In the past i've only ever played bg2 as class specific characters i.e. mage or paladin. When you mix up classes what happens to the quests? Do you get access to say both the mage/fighter quests? Thanks.

Not really, but there is a bug with Nalia's and Lavok's dialogues, so you can have both if you're a Fighter/Mage.

Or you can just use my patch, and you can do them all, check my sign.
