... an artifact, to be specific, of whose existence I didn't have a clue. I found it in the trunk (along with some shotgun ammo) when first visting the new Haven after the Dane quest. It's a kind of locket that boosts my security skill one point.. I don't seem to be able to find it in the item descriptions provided on this site, though, and don't remember it from the last times I've been playing. Is that part of a patch (I've got 1.2/2.3 installed), or is it simply weird?

I've never encountered that before. Have you checked the patch's readme to see if it was added?

Found it... it seems to have been added in the 1.9 patch, although I went through the readme twice to find it ;-)
