It may be in Knothole Glade, or it can be purchased from random merchants.

According to the [url="http://www.gamebanshee.com/fable/equipment/tattoochest.php"]GB Fable site[/url], the Dark Vortex tattoo is a chest tattoo and you find it in a barrel in Darkwood Camp.

the back of the dark vortex is the firis head tattoo.
it can be found in the tavern in oakvale
oh...and if your wandering,the head tattoo(spiral demetia)can also be found in one of the houses in oakvale,and the hand and leg tattoos(talin clan)can both be found at the gray house
