Pointless Facts

Not sure if anyone's made a thread like this or not, but a quick search didn't come up with any.

There are many important facts which we need to know, and such facts flood into the SYM forum daily, but there are also many, many more that we really never needed to know, and there seems to be a slight lack here.

Some facts may not be totally pointless, but are still welcomed here, other facts, like "I can count to three", would be best off unposted. ;)

Enjoy. :D

Ronaldo, the phenomenon, peed on a Brazil's game before it begun, because he had no time to go to the bathroom before the match.

Brownies taste better when you remember to mix the eggs into the brownie mix at the beginning, rather than add them after ten minutes of baking. :(

Nothing rhymes with the words purple, orange, and silver.

Was this the sort of thing you wanted?

During your lifetime, you’ll eat about 60,000 pounds of food, that’s the weight of about 6 elephants.

I don't think they rhyme, the letter v does not sound the same as the letter f

I don't know about Canadian English (: D ), but Silver and Pilfer, do not rhyme perfectly, v is voiced, f is voiceless and thus there is a difference of sounds.
You could as well say that orange rhymes with storage or purple with the name Kerble, close in sound but not the same sounds, which is approximate rhyme.

So if chaosmage means perfect rhyme, he might be correct, or at least you haven't proven him wrong.

And once again those here take things the extra step, demanding complete and total perfection

The point was simply it was close enough to rhyming that it could be considered to do so, depending on the point of view (considering most words that do rhyme either sound the exact same, minus one syllabul(sp), or is already a stretch to begin with).

Poetry does not demand perfect matches, so by laws of poetry at least it can be easily confirmed Chaosmage is wrong. Proving he is completely wrong however, would take more time and effort, and I'm sure that there are words which rhyme with purple, orange and silver, whether they are English or otherwise.

If God's an SOB, who's his mother?

And if you want to answer that, please go to a religion thread.
