Before sailing to Spellhold

Just a quick question but may ruin my game if I do this wrong, I have now completed the Graveyard Quest and Aran is about to send me to Spellhold, however I do have some quests outstanding that I'd like to clear, am I ok to do these now or will I be told I've left it too late if I come back later????

You can do them now, however some stronghold quests (such as the Thieves' Guild) are best left for later.

Those strongholds will generally wait for you to return from where you're going in the next cople of chapters, however.
Most quests and such aren't based on a timer, so they're fine to leave and pick up again later on.

Actually the Thieves' Guild does still act while you're away.
I'm mainly talking about the quota part. If you take too long, you can lose the guild.
