8) A Flame To The Ground Beneath - Lost Horizon
7) Fire And Ice - Yngwie Malmsteen

Can't say in order, but these are the ten that come to mind first:

Operation Mindcrime- Queensryche
The Headless Children- W.A.S.P.
British Steel- Judas Priest
Ride the Lightning- Metallica
Brother- Cry of Love
Back in Black- AC/DC
Blizzard of Ozz- Ozzy
Appetite for Destruction- G&R
Green River- Creedence Clearwater Revival
Rust in Piece- Megadeth

It's hard to say for certain since my mood changes a lot, but Queensryche, Metallica, and CCR are pretty constantly playing.

Well, I don't know that these are my all time favorites, but these are all great albums and I can sing along with all the songs. But what is my favorite depends on my mood. Since I can't rank them, here they are easy to heavy:

August and Everything After - Counting Crows
Joshua Tree - U2
The Sky is Crying - Stevie Ray Vaughan
Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
Theatre of Pain - Motley Crue
Appetite for Destruction - Guns 'n' Roses
Skid Row - Skid Row
Bleach - Nirvana
Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine
Ride the Lightning - Metallica

A couple that deserve mention but aren't actual albums (1 concert, 2 greatest hits and one Broadway play):

Unplugged in New York - Nirvana
Songs You Know by Heart - Jimmy Buffet
Greatest Hits - Simon & Garfunkle
Les Miserables - Broadway

Same here...

So in no particular order, and limiting myself to one album per artist/band (to make it easier on my self and not to drown you in Nick Cave albums ;) ):

Henry's Dream - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
The Queen is Dead - The Smiths
The Ideal Crash - dEUS
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars - David Bowie
Bossanova - The Pixies
The Fat of the Land - Prodigy
Document - R.E.M.
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins
Dance Hall at Louse Point - John Parish & Polly Jean Harvey
Transformer - Lou Reed

And no real album but two EP's rereleased on one CD:
Mutiny / The Bad Seed E.P. - The Birthday Party

9) The Doors- The Doors
8) The Wall- Pink Floyd
7) Let It Bleed- The Rolling Stones
6) Kind Of Blue- Miles Davis
5) The Queen Is Dead- The Smiths
4) BloodSugarSexMagik- The Red Hot Chili Peppers
3) Highway 61 Revisited- Bob Dylan
2) Who's Next- The Who
1) Led Zeppelin IV- Led Zeppelin

If anybody's interested at all my top 75 or so can be found here in a slightly outdated order (it fluctuates depending on what I'm listening to). I'd also encourage anybody who finds themselves with time to kill to make your own account on Rate Your Music, it's a fun time-waster and a way to meet people who have similar tastes.

That album is the end-all be-all of jazz albums for me... I could listen toit forever. I'll admit to not really understanding jazz music (I have no musical training of any sort) but I do know what I like and it doesn't get any better.

"Hey man, glad to hear from you... Thanks for checking it out. Been to any concerts recently?"

Not as recent as I would have liked but have picked up a full KICKING live show (4 cd's worth) of The Robert Randolph Band that seems to have taken over my listening for the last week or so. Sad to say but good live shows don't usually appear in this area...although if the boys can still rock? The Stones are going to be in my neck of the woods...Churchill Downs...tics go on sale for much $$$ sometime this week or next, its all local radio can talk about.. as for my love, Blues, its usually something I have to really search for or its road trip time

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

Glad to hear you're well. You lucky schmuck, where'd you get that? :D  I've never heard of it... Bootleg?

I saw the Stones last year when they were at Comerica Park and it was quite the show, but nothing worth spending that much dough on... They can still rock but the knowledge that they've completely sold out has a dampering effect in my opinion. *shrug*

I was lucky enough to catch Mr. Randolph and Co. with the Black Crowes a few weeks ago with some friends... Fantastic show, I could watch Robert all night. I'm glad to see you've taken such a liking to him. *looks porud of self* :D

hmmmm...
As for the Stones, love their older stuff, Let It Bleed, is my personal fav.
I'll just use that $ for 2 or 3 small blues bands..

Keep on smilin'

I am not sure I can do this at all: I haven't really thought in this way before and my favourites also change with mood, as other have said. Currently the list would look something like this, but in no special order

Wee Tam and the Big Huge - Incredible String Band
Let Love In - Nick Cave
Three Ravens - Malinky
Rain Dogs - Tom Waits
Hand of Kindness - Richard Thomson
Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan
Songs of Leonard Cohen -Leonard Cohen
Fado Em Mim - Mariza
My own compilation of Judy Collins stuff

Love that album - I do have a soft touch for the old metal ;) .

Wouldn't know where to start when composing a top ten albums list. I'll have to ponder it for awhile... something by Johnny Cash, one of 50s/60s albums. Something by Bruce Springsteen and perhaps End Of The Innocence by Don Henley.

Its like the infamous two albums on a desert island question. There are albums that make me swell with nostalgia, albums I know like the back of my hand but most of the time my selection is mood based. And my opinions on quality seem to vary from day-to-day. If I were to base it on my most listened-to albums it would compromise more of artists like The Waterboys, Chris Isaak and Gerry Rafferty.

Indeed, it's a very good album. I got hold of "Killing the Dragon" today, because I wanted some of the newer Dio. Not as good as Holy Diver though.

Next I'll get a Black Sabbath LP with Dio on vocals (can't stand Ozzy).
I think it was Live Evil or something.
