Couple of questions (possible spoiler)

Ok first question is ( i will have to go look up the updated info but this was sort of spur of the moment). Theres a house in cheydinhal and i broke into it. The owner is a guy who hosts dinner parties. So i was on my way out of the house with a bag full of goodies 
when all the guests walked in right infront of me!:speech: OK so they all stared at me and a few moments later 3 of them turned into Daedric assasins soon i was a corpse but i was wondering is that a cult or something?
2nd question is how do you yeild to guards after intiating combat (resisting arrest).
