1.4 patch...is it worth downloading???

Does anyone know whether its worth it to download the patch? Also, what does it do? If I download and install it can I keep playing my saved game im playing right now? Thanks!

plus you must meet the requirements need to ascend a class which i have found very challenging and more realistic.
and i agree it's a must
