i need 5 empty grand sould gems for the cure to vampirism quest is there anywhere i canm steal them because they seem very expensive to but.

oh the ones i saw had grand souls in where can i buy or steal some empty ones

You can find empty grand soul gems in many mages guilds, or on mages guild members.

Also, there is one in the witch's basement (look for the trap door in her house).

Your best bet if you have money is to just buy the gems from mages guilds/magic junk stores.
Anvil,bruma,bravil,cheydihal,chorol,and leyawin guilds all have at least one for sale.
theres 2 in the chorrol mages guild in 5 tumbler cases on the ground floor.
theres also one in the lobby of the univerisity and one in the mages quarters.

* First of all, take the one from the witch's basement.
* I remember that I found 2 of them in Chorrol guild.
* In Bravil you will need to search on one of the mages. She's a female, and I think her name is Ardaline. steal it from her while she's making potions.
* (Not sure) Skingrad. Search on Adrienne when she's sleeping.

I think every mages guild has at least 1 soul gem. So if you don't find anything, try the other guilds.
Oh, and if you have problem with stealing, and they caught you every time, try to bite them while they're sleeping (you're a vampire, don't you?) and then steal from them. It worked for me many times..
