As this is the first time I've gotten on since the "We are migrating" message I can only presume that it has been a success!
There have been heaps of threads pointing out the bad. Time for one pointing out the good. - Curdis !

At this point I think they just moved the forums, it has been down for a about day.
I still can't connect to the front page, so I doubt it is over yet, will I hope not, as I hope to beable to connect to the front page again.

It is possible that the DNS changes as mentioend by Buck in his announcement before the migration hasn't travelled all the way out through the web yet. (let's hope so, and not that there is another problem
)

The migration isn't totally finished yet, but you should be able to load the front page. What browser and version are you using? Are you on dial-up or broadband?
Currently, email is still giving me problems and I'm unable to post any new news for the time being. I hope to have these problems fixed later today.
Let me know how the rest of the site is loading. Is it a little faster? Have you experienced any database errors or any other problems aside from the front page?

Not so far, Buck. The board seems to be very quick again, and doing very well. I could post, reply PM's and even read a walkthrough

I haven't experienced any errors as yet, but I haven't been back on GB that long. IMO, it's probably better to judge the whole errors issue when everyone can access the site again, especially if it was the level of access/amount of people accessing the database causing many of the problems, I don't know know what the kind of difference between the current amount of people able to access GB now and what the peak intensity is though....

The problem with the front page for me seems to come when I'm logged in and going to the front page, irregardless of browser used (FireFox, Opera, IE).
When I go to the page not logged in, it loads fast, when I log in or go from the forum (after logged in) it is very very slow.
EDIT: my Opera is currently passing 30MB downloaded when entering the frontpage (redirect from after logging in)
IE reports of script error, I'll try to track the error down.
EDIT x2: Stopped my Opera when it reached 60MB and same with my other browsers. It started eating up my system ressources making it impossible to do anything
This is a screenshot of what opera showed me, which mirrors somewhat what happend in IE:

Sorry bout the size. Perhaps this will help you track where the code went wrong.
EDIT x3 as for the forum it seems to be running nice and fast. Gotten no errors as of yet. (other then the usual stylesheet errors etc
)

For me, the forums are working great. Nice and stable and fast.
I can't reach the Home Page though, either with Opera or Firefox. I don't even get any error pages, my browsers simply buckle and stall while trying to load it.

I use Opera and have had absolutely no problems loading the front page.
That was odd, I just got a series of database errors (Too Many Connections errors from looking at the source code) and then this VBulletin message: "Sorry! This forum is not accepting new posts."
And then another few database errors after that...

@Rav,
ditto here.
I imagine it has to do with the server migration still being incomplete???

That one could easily be due to you accessing a cached version of the old site before the migration to a new server. It is likely to happen after a DNS move before the browser is updated again and the new IP has been moved around the web.
But it is just an (educated) guess.

For me also seems the login as Xandax mentioned and I mentioned in my orgianl post a few weeks back about the login server.
I tried IE, Netscape 7.2 and Netscape 8.1 (Netscapes are basicly FireFox code), this included with and without ZoneAlarm incase some new script didn't get along with ZA.
Forums seem smooth and seem faster though I have only been on for this post.

Email and our news script are both working now, so the homepage issue is the only remaining problem that I'm aware of. Some additional tweaks have been made, so with any luck it may have already been resolved. Let me know if any of you are still unable to get it to load.

The front page seems to load fine now (using Firefox).
