Minsc goes bananas

So we are exploring Trademeet after ridding the town of the evil druids and djin, and Minsc starts on and on about how we are great heroes. My first response is to tell him he can do good and keep quiet about it. He takes offense and starts up again with his hero tirade, so next dialog I humor him. He tells me 'now you are making sense', we just need to see about getting me a hamster, or perhaps a weasel. Now it starts getting really strange: he mutters something about his witch and attacks me. Now Aerie hasn't been attacked, and certainly not by me, but he keeps pounding me. He's not confused, dominated, berserk, etc. he just wants me dead. Next thing I know I am watching the disintegrating hand movie. Anyone ever have Minsc turn on them? BTW, no problem after re-load.

I see Minsc said something about a weasel.Check out the Planer Sphere story.It might be KidD01 influence rubbing off on him.

I had the exact same thing happen, weasel comment and all, except the most important part: he didn't attack me. That is really quite a story. I almost wish I could have provoked him.

I think is was a combination of a rare dialog and a game bug occuring simultaniously.
