i am on the final fighters guild mission where you have to rescue lady rogburt from the orgres - i have cleared kingscrest cave and the fought the orgres (3 i think that were outside and chased me..) i ran through a nearby camp and attracted the attention of two thugs who started to join me against the ogres.. two of the orgres ran off with the thugs in persuit while i dealt with the 3rd orgre.. now my problem is i dont know what happened to them ie if the orgres were killed, or if the thugs were killed and there is still orgres wandering around some place, since lady rogburt is just standing by the cave entrance and telling me to get on with killing the orgres.... any help/ideas please? thanks

Thats weird. I'm sure there were only three of them.
Try to use detect life spell/item. Maybe there is onther

Since you probably have killed all the ogres, you can always use this command (work only on pc) to fix your problem:

~
player.setstage 0003571A 30
~

It will display a message saying that you killed the ogres, and now you should talk with the green lady.

found those two pesky orgres hiding a long way away! obviously they had killed the bandits (not managed to find there remains yet though.. damn they had some nice armour aswell!). anyhow thanks for the advice!
