Need help with the giant guy in imperial city *SPOILERS*

Ok, i just finished closing the great oblivion gate, then i went to see that guy with martin and got word that oblivion gates have opened inside the city walls so i go outside, i'm fighting what feels like unlimited enemies and then this giant guy appears and starts stepping on stuff!!! so i go talk to martin and he says to go and light that fire so i go to try and run around the big guy but i see one of my men float up towards him and i think it ate him so i thought, BAD IDEA! so i go the other way and theres an invisible wall so i guess i'm not supposed to go there...so where DO i go?

Putting the word spoilers in the title should not absolve the poster from putting the actual spoiler IN the title.
The giant guy in the imperial city is the ending of the main quest.
Its like saying "The butler did it" *spoilers*

Spoiler...
You have to run round the right side, you know the way the Temple District is set up, well you have to go round the back ally closest to the Big Guy and then run behind him and get in to the Temple of The One.
BTW that big guy is this Mehrunes Dagon you've been hearing about.
