Green screen problem

When I load my screen is completely green, except for the mini map and health, magicka, fatigue stats... When I start a new game the intro movie plays fine, but when the character creation menu appears everything around it is green.

Now, i did mess around with the music a little bit, putting in music from morrowind, and i installed the mighty magicka mod, but before that it played without problem. I've tried to replace the music folder with the back-up one i made, and i've deleted MM mod, and reinstalling, and none of it helps :(

...Can anyone help me?

Btw, should the music play while you're loading? i haven't played it in a while and i can't remember.

That's a weird one, and if I were you, the first thing I'd try is switching in a different monitor, because this smells rank of a hardware problem. Like you've blown out your flyback, or two of your electron cannons have died, or some of the electro-magnets have been cooked. Have you had a thunderstorm recently? Does this happen only in Oblivion, or is it across the board? If it's in everything, then hardware for sure. If just Oblivion, then I haven't the vaguest.

hehe, I rebooted my computer and now it works fine  I still wonder what did it though... just hope it's not hardware. I only had the problem with oblivion, so lets blame Bethesda for now. Thanks for the reply ;)

Last time that happened to me, it was the video card (which was really old, and needed replacing), so I'm not sure that you're out of the woods just yet.
