Ron's shop and customers are sad...just sad...

Are you kidding? Are you just that bad at the game that you need those weapons?

I laugh when people like you throw gameplay out the window this way. It's the same in real life. When a guy has a over-sized, lifted, gargantuan tired pickup truck, you can be fairly sure he's compensating for...well you know.

You guys are all compensating for bad gameplay (or maybe the other too), and the really sad thing is...only the computer sees it. You're trying to impress a machine by creating weapons that make you undefeatable. And if you aren't undefeatable with those.....you really are awaful at the game.

Kyrian, Your reasoning doesn't make any sense. You admit that having powerful weapons can impress no one, yet you claim that people want to have powerful weapons to impress/overcompensate.

I think all of this is about getting the most bang for your buck. I bet you know a little something about getting banged for your buck, don't you?

Hey people........why are you all being so hard on Kyrian Darkstar???? Sure he/she is overreacting a bit but still I can understand him/her.....I don't think that I would prefer using any custom-made weapons...(would be fun in the beginning but spoils the game in the long run I would think)....still I understand that this is very individual and that theese opinions differ much from individual to individual.....but what would it all be like without different opinions and views????

Okay so Kyrian may have gone too far....but loosen up a bit people.....I don't see the point in arguing over theese kind of things....if people feel alright using custom-made weapons and items then sure...why not????....if it adds a thing or two to gameplay then sure....why not????

Errh... sure hope this thread doesn't get out of hand. Though I'm glad that people so vigorously voice their opinions in this forum the whole concept about how the game should be played is a bit awkward in my humble opinion.

One plays the game as one want to play the game. Want a serious challange? Then go solo as a mageslayer and don't use magic equipment at all. Want to mess around a bit and feel larger than life? Then arrange to make your character so superthough that he eats beholders as popcorn. There's room for all kinds of gamers methinks, as long as noone cheats someone else of the game they want.

That conludes my take on the rant. Image

Thomas I totally agree with what you are saying...and Weasel I've got your point....

Especially if you plan on posting controversial (flame?) posts, you shouldn't give your name and email address out (Brandon). That goes for everyone, btw. Giving out information like that publicly (Chrissy is right) should be avoided.

Seriously people, you act like I just insulted your mother or something. I was simply tryin to make the point that it ruins the true spirit of the game, which it does.

The guy who said he's beat it three times and is now using his super weapons...seems logical to me to try and spice it up the third time around...

To the guy who said I made no sense saying that weapons didn't impress anyone but that you could try and impress them with these weapons...you misread me or something. What i said was, there is nobody there to try and show off to by using these killer weapons to make yourself a stud, so why do it?

Look, we all know that there are people out there who bought the game, installed it, downloaded the patch, then went straight to the cheats and trainers. And now that they have Ron, they're probably in heaven. These are the people I'm talking about. Seems to me that my comments that everyone is flaming on are a lot less abrasive then the replies to them.....

Also, I don't really care that my email was on there. If you all are as nice as you claim to be, I have nothing to worry about, right?

Oh, and sorry that I'm new to this board, have I upset the Hierarchical gods?

My friend think before you type.

If you have not finished the game BG2 I would advise not getting anything from Ron till you have finished the game.

Now does that not sound a lot better than attacking right off the bat.

Sure, but it didn't really get my point across.

My point, and opinion, was that I think guys who use cheats to get super weaps sacrifice gameplay. The way I said it may have been harsh, but perhaps you don't know the dozens of other posts on separate boards that I have been flamed on for not using cheats, etc.

Maybe you are right and I came on a bit strong, but it is something I am passionate about, obviously, and I don't back down from that..

If it offended you all so much...sorry...but to the ones who it offended b/c they know they loaded those cheats before even beating the game once...well...maybe you got my point

Hey Kyrian it's alright.....so you are new to this board???? Well my warmest welcomes......glad to see there are so many BG2 fans in here...and that the numbers are steadily growing...things seem to have really boomed up during the last couple of days......heaps of new members coming in....it's fun to see.

And my point is Ron is doing something for people without charging. Yes I'm passionate about someone tell me I'm cheating in a game and Trying to flame at the sametime. A game I've beat 3 times. We can agree to disagree . Think before you post is all I ask.
