There are just four bastard swords listed on the equipment list.

The bastardsword+2, Albruin+1 and the Taragarth+1 are not listed but present in the game, as far as the infinity explorer can tell.

So where are these items? Are they just like the Jade hound statuette just something created for the game but never added?

there are very few bastard swords in the game, so personally i think specialising or even putting a proficiency in them is a waste of time.

Go with long swords instead, they are the best weapons IMHO because they are so many great ones and they are versatile.

I can do nothing but agree, Cloud. I never had a character put proficiency points in bastard swords in any CRPG so far played. Having seen one wielded by a friend, whose a good fencer to boot, gave me the impression that it's an ugly and clumsy weapon. I'm just interested in these items because I have not found them. Got to catch them all, you know.
