Haer'Dalis bug

Post by de_Worde »

I think there's a bug if you take the playhouse deed and are in the middle of prepping the play.
I rescued Haer'Dalis and his team from the Planar Prison and he ran with us for a time. I now want him back, because he had some good Long Swords in his possession, and his romancing Aerie was fun. However, when i removed him he repeated the line he said when I told him I didn't need him in Mekrath's tower "Very well... find jewel...meet in Flagon". He then wanders off, and I can't find him in the flagon.
1) Does he normally say one of the "Are you sure you want me to go" lines?
2) Has anyone else experienced this?
3) Does anyone have a fix?

I can reload (and I have in order to see if he reappears in the Flagon), but I like to chop and change my party and I don't want to be stuck with a melee fighter with less than 60 HP for the whole game, and I can't find any decent constitution enhancers.

This is a tough one (possible spoiler)

Not sure if this will help, but bare in mind that there are sometimes seemingly innocent things you do in your game play that might upset or downright offend a particular NPC.(many characters have different allignments, agendas & beliefs) For example, in one of my games I was desparately in need of a thief. I innocently decided to give Anomen some downtime, excusing him from my party while enlisting the services of Jan to take care of some traps and locked items which were causing me grief. Anomen was highly offended that I ditched him in place of a thief and stormed away vowing to square off with me the moment our paths ever crossed. I spent the rest of that game fully expecting Anomen to appear out of nowhere and take me on. It never happened. I even searched for him at the Copper Coronet & the Delwyn estate hoping to make amends. No luck. Alas the moral of the story is that if Hear Dahlis never stood a chance at being a major asset to your party (except for his swords) forget about him and concentrate on building the XP of a different NPC..........
