This question might sound stupid... But I can't find Falcar in the Cheydinhal mages Guild. Where is he supposed to be? And at wat time? Maybe i'm missing some place in the house, but what is that place? Please telll me. Thanks in advance!

I usually see him during the day either in the basement or the lower floor of the guild...

kk, thanks... About what time? Cuz i ALWAYS go and I NEVER see him.... Unlucky i gess...

He may be 'stuck' in a room behind a door. I have had this happen in the Fighter's Guild and had to open the door (red, locked) in order for the guy to get out.

Yeh, there's one room under the Cheydinhal Mages Guild that's locked... Needs a key... But i cant find the key anywhere... and i can never find Falcar... I looked from 6am to 12 am... not there... 1 pm to like 10 pm in cheydinhal... still not there. Can anyone help me out here? or is there a cheat to unlock locked doors?

Are you working on the recommendation quest?

If you're working on the recommendation then you should be able to make it your main quest and you'll get the green/red arrow that will direct you to him. If it appears that you're at the spot, but Falcar isn't around then he's either above or below you.
That's all I can say. I never had a problem finding the dude.

This may not be too helpful, but you can always cast a Detect Life spell...

Falcar will from time to time shut himself up in his room, which you will not be able to enter until later along the quest line. Also, from what I've seen he's out and about now and then during daytime (never at night), but at irregular times and with highly varying frequency.

So, easiest way to find him is:
1 - make Mage Guild recommendations your active quest.
2 - stand outside his locked door in the basement and face the door.
3 - Rest one hour at the time. As soon as he's no longer in his room, you will no longer have a red marker on your compass ahead of you, but rather a green marker somewhere else.
4 - go find him...

so when he locks himself. I hav to wait till he comes out? And how do i get a cheydinhal recommendation when i havn't even met him yet... that's wat i dont get.

Why not try going to another Mage Guild, and doing that recommendation, then coming back to this one? You may find Falcar with no trouble then.

The problem is i've finished all other recommendations and this is the only thing keeping me from Arcane University. But does it count if i dont hav "Chorrol Recommendation" in my completed quests? Cuz i finished it, Teekeus said he'll send one. But i dont get the "Chorrol Recommendation" in my completed quest...

You do have a quest about Mage Recommendations though (uncertain of exact quest name) which shows markers to ALL REMAINING local guild leaders. In other words, those leaders you have yet to get recommendation quests from.

Hey guys, i found out that he never DOES come out of his room. I found that out by doing the mage recommendations, then doing the movetoqt cheat. That worked and i found out that he was having a beauty sleep. And never waking up. Looks like he became the sleeping beauty... Well i woke him up and he gave me the fake recommendation. I dropped the burden ring afta gettin the reco though. htanks!

Your supposed to talk to the Argonian for the recommendation and then bring her the black soul gems in falcars room exposing him as a necromancer.
