Edwin abandoning group

With my rep. now at 19, I installed the Sir Kal-something mod to keep evil-aligned characters from leaving the party, namely Edwin. Despite the program, Edwin continues to leave my group. Is there something else I need installed to keep Edwin there?

The "Happy" mod also included as part of the "Ease of Play" mod is probably your best bet.
I do not know if it will work on existing games or not though.

Well, I put in the Ease of Use mod and Edwin is still leaving the group. Does this mean I have to start the game all over again? If it does, I'll just go find someone else. Not worth the trouble, though I love Edwin's character.
Ok, latest update: I even went into ShadowKeeper and changed Edwin's alignment to Lawful Neutral, but he continues to leave the group. *sigh*

I think, but am not positive, with Ease of Use if you have already added someone to the party then the No-leave function will not work. I know that I added the unlimited bag of holding and, because that was already in my inventory, it was still limited. Just guessing that the No-leave component works the same way

You might try one of the user-made editors, to see if you can alter Edwin's "attitude." I've never used
Shadow Keeper, but others tell me it can do quite a lot.

What about using SK to reduce the reputation, loading that game which should reset Edwin's attitude, and then using SK to increase the reputaiton to what it was?

EDIT:
I fear this is too late to be of any use.
It appears that you must install the Happy mod before your reputation reaches 19, or the effect is lost.
In the future, I highly recommend installing any mods you might need before you begin a new game. Some of the do not take effect in in-progress games.

Was SK no help either?

I ended up not being able to finish the game anyway since I hit a runtime error to spellhold. SK didn't seem to help though, but that may be because I changed his alignment on their after my group had already hit 19.

I take it the obvious answer of killing some snooty noble for the -3 or -4 rep hit is out of the question?

I think you get a dialogue before they leave. If you got this dialogue already, then it's too late.
Go to an earlier save if you can.
SK is probably your best bet. There is probably some factor that you can change in Edwin to make him stay.

I would drop the reputation in SK to 16 and see if that didn't help. Also try running away from Edwin for a few minutes to give the game time to reset all of the calculations and checks. Then you can boost your rep back up to what it was originally.
