tome of unlife ((spoiler))

Post by Sildayin »

After completing the quest Spirit's Lease or somethin like that I found the Tome of Unlife in the basement...it's all written in some sort of gibberish...is there a way to translate this book and learn some awesome new spells? Or is it just eye candy for the room?

With books that you can't immediately read, they are usually of one of three varieties:

1) Quest items - you have to give it somebody for a reward.
2) Quest items - you have to show it to somebody who will tell you what it's for and how to use it.
3) Eye candy - just for show.

That particular one, I can't say off the top of my head. Store it if you can, or just pack it around asking people until somebody mentions it.

Tome plus staff of the everscamp, crown of omnacato, wabbajack and dive rock and interesting things happen, or so I'm told. I have no idea if this is the truth, sometimes people like to brag and I haven't tried it yet, am taking a break from Obl. Higlight to read:

You should go to dive rock (that incredibly high rock North East of Cheyndinhal), drop the tome on the ground, wear the crown (important bit to put it on first), and shoot it with wabbajack. Nothing happens there, except the fire spell is replaced by a fire sheild on the crown, but go down to the imperial city, market district, to see 20 zombies or something mucking about. Talk to any of them to give them orders they follow.
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

I doudt that could happen but im not saying it can't. You can't translate the tome or anything, but you can sell it for a heafty amount of gold.
