bodhi backup spoiler

I thought Id throw this in since I havnt seen it mentioned before. Prior to my final battle with Bodhi I swung by the hall of the radiant heart and to my surprise was offered further assistance against Bodhi. (already had Drizzt) Figuring the more the merrier, I accepted. A group of knights met up with me at the entrance to the lair and although it was probably overkill their assistance was appreciated. Heres where it gets odd. at some point during your battles their leader calls his men back accusing you of betraying them and they promptly leave. I also assume this puts you out of favour with the Order (though Ive never been back to find out). Ive played this several ways, but it seems to happen quite randomly and without any hostile action towards them on my part. So whats the relevance and why does this happen. Any ideas fellow adventurers?

Odd... Any time I've asked for their assistance, the leader eventually just tells his men to leave, and accompanies my NPC alone for the remainder of the fighting....
Are you certain you didn't cast any area of effect spells?
Or maybe reputation and alignment have something to do with it???
Just tossing out ideas..

reputation:heroic Alignment: mainly good/neutral no area spells
I see where your coming from Dragon wench, thats why Im bewildered. As you say, he has dismissed his men and carried on with me solo several times, but Im not comfortable with being labelled a traitor unless I know why. Im probably thinking to deep, but maybe its a choice. You get the assistance of the Order or you get the assistance of Drizzt. My allignment with a dark elf (even a good one) might be viewed as treachery by those of the Radiant Heart, hence, we should not be fighting together......maybe

one of the knights uses the two handed sword that randomly fireballs, so that will make them leave

One of the Paladins is armed with a weapon by the name of Harbringer. It's a very annoying weapon that has a chance of casting fireball on hit and it will cause everyone to leave in bad taste.
I'm not sure why you didn't see it, but when I realised it I had to try and kill all the vampires as soon as possible before the paladin got a hit in.

Interesting....so his faulty sword makes me a traitor. I wonder what its worth, coz I,d hate to "accidentaly kill him :mischief: If I were that Paladin I'd be heading straight back to the Mart to trade it in for something more reliable lest he fry his buddies radiant hearts. Thanks for the tip, might think twice about getting their help next time.

That explains a lot! I'd assumed it was me being careless with a fireball or something. Is this patch part of the standard SoA/ToB patch or is it a separate one?
