OK if you alweys want to get all the stuff you ever wanted i found a way to make easy money... it's also easy to understand. first you need to have the expression of steal...go to the clothier and buy a chain body. there is a corner where nobody can spot you... there is something on the shelf steal it... then sell the chain body to the shop owner... then go back to the shelf and steal the chain body... sell it and go back to the shelf and steal it... you can also do this with the weapon shop in oakvale using auguments. after a whilethe price of the chain body will go down to 2,00 gold, when that happens use the chain leggings. i havn't ever tried this on TLC... when you save and exit your game the shop won't have the chain or augment on the shelf... you will have to repeat the prosses again, it should take long... if you don't understand any of this just contact me at [edit: email deleted] or post it on this thread

Yeah, a quicker way to make money is buying and selling gifts (diamonds, emeralds, jet, etc). You can make over $200,000 for each buy/sell transaction if you want to.

When your Guile is 5 or more, collect as many diamonds as you can and get access to bowerstone north.
Spoiler-->
Just buy all and sell all to shop keeper, i got 86 diamonds with 400 gold profit on each one. easy money

Yeah, for easy money just buy all the gift items, then simply sell all / buy all over and over. I started with apples / chocolates, kept buying them from the traders who wander around the forests, eventually bought over 500 of all the items they sold, and got massive amounts of money everytime i buy/sell them.
However, your idea with the diamonds is better. Less time consuming and has a greater profit return. May try it.
Stealing is so overrated. I personally think it is naff. Getting money ("the easy way" - described above) is far easier than stealing. Plus, once you have the money, you don't need to steal in the first place.

Can't agree more. After getting the hang of the buy and sell trick, I didn't even bother with stealing at all. Does make stealing quite pointless in the game, to be honest. Why steal when you can get more the easy way?

Yeah apples and chocolates are great if you just started out and need armor fast, i found with minimal guile the trader in bowerstone south near the front gate gives good profit margin, plus you can buy a full set of chain mail armor just across the way early in the game. And treat yourself to a hair cut, beard or some better weapons just around the corner.
The reason i recommend the diamond dealer in Bowerstone north is just because he stock's loads and buys them for the best price i have found so far with Guile at 4 or 5......Ideal if your going to pop back to Avo's temple.
I only steal from buildings personally, for augmentation, potions and tattoos...
