Looks like your InstallShield installation is corrupted. Maybe the microsoft article 810608 can help:

Which error message you get? Just the filename?
Well, that's too little information to debug your problem. But the name of the file implies it is a log file. So you should open and read it about any errors occured. Next you can try to delete all files in C:\Docume~1\ODIN\LOCALS~1\Temp (maybe one of the files is write protected) and try to install again.
Well, and give it a try with ZoneAlarm turned off. Those desktop firewalls much to often hamper the installation and usage of software.

Well, one of the files on the cd (D:\Never Winter Nights\data\textures_01.bif) seems to be corrupted.
If you have a backup copy or a second cdrom drive, you should give them a try.
Otherwise this error may be caused by some dirt on the cd, so cleaning the cd may help. (If you never did this before: Take care! Just a little bit of water, no (!) soap, and a dish towel for glasses to rub down. Don't rub clockwise or reverse clockwise but from the center to the border)

I got a back CD and it worked
thanks Raedwulf
SO here is the latest on the game install if I may,
It goes past installation disk two then on to the play disk?
About 90-97% through the play disk, then I get a bad error mission.
Install was halted while copying the Play disk after setup closed down, please go to
D:\NeverWinter Nights clean out any reamining files that were not deleted.
That is it then when I look at the file folder for the game there is almost 2 gigs of stuff then I click 'OK', and the file shrinks to like 900 megs or something and shrinks to like only four or so sub-folders.
The installation is not finished. what is with this game?

Is D:\Neverwinter Nights your installation directory?
If so, it looks like the setup tool tried to remove instead installing. So you should do what it suggested: Delete the whole D:\Neverwinter Nights directory and try installing again.

Ok thanks for the reply
D:\Neverwinter Nights is the game drive directory.
I went to the folder in that directory and deleted it, I have done this like five times. What could I be doing wrong then? Is the program file for the folder in Bioware or Neverwinter for a main heading directory?

The program folder for me is just C:\Neverwinter Nights. There is no folder under program files, either under Bioware or Neverwinter Nights, just the one stated above.

I have three hard drives. The simple fact is I choose the D:\ Drive as the directory drive for this folder? I don't think this should be an issue?

I wouldn't have thought so cos it should just run off the hard drive you installed it on

It should not be an issue to install on other drives then C: no, I myself have it on "D:\" in some elaborate folder structure.
Can you install the game without issues from your disc on another computer?

I'm stuck for ideas as I can't find any other directories for NWN except that one on my hard drive. Have you tried contacting Bioware Customer Support?

Is it possible to install the game on it? Because I wonder if it might be the discs which are damaged, or perhaps your drive could be the issue).
Have you tried to install onto another of your 3 drives just to test?
